Poole, Dorset

Poole is the largest town in Dorset, with a resident population of approximately 150,000 and a conurbation of over 400,000 alongside Bournemouth and Christchurch.

The town is built around Poole Harbour, one of the largest natural harbours in the world.

The site sits at Hamworthy, on the western bank of the Backwater Channel, with Poole Bridge and Twin Sails Bridge providing direct access to Poole Quay, the town centre and the railway station.

Poole Ferry Terminal, immediately south of the site, operates cross-Channel and Channel Islands services. The A35 and A31 connect the town to the M27 and the wider national motorway network.
